On our first official day of the Huge Colorado Vacation, we took a drive to Sylvan Lake for pics and hikes.Not much to say here. The drive was gorgeous, if not LONG and winding. Two words: brake pads.
But as you can see, Sylvan Lake was a post-card.
The two-mile hike around the lake was peaceful and serene. I even remember saying to Michelle, "Wow Sweetie, it's so...peaceful and serene." So unlike our suburban trail hikes back home.
And not two seconds later, Cameron started chatting, sending furry woodland creatures scurrying in all directions. And then Garrett chimed in, and the boys pretty much gibber-gabbered the entire hike. So much for peaceful. ;)
But boy, was it beautiful.
